A delegation from the Cyprus Fiduciary Association (CYFA) had a significant presence and contacts in India, attending the Cyprus – India Business and Investment Summit.
The conference was held on 28 January at The St. Regis Mumbai, in Mumbai, India, and was organised by IMH in collaboration with Invest Cyprus.
In a relevant announcement, CYFA described the Summit as "one of the most important international business conferences aimed at strengthening economic and investment relations between Cyprus and India."
According to the same announcement, CYFA's participation in the conference aimed to:
- Promote Cyprus as an international business and investment centre.
- Promote the field of administrative and corporate services and, by extension, promote the members of the Association, their services, and expertise to an international audience.
- Promote the Cypriot economy and, in particular, its institutional and regulatory framework.
"Through business meetings and networking activities, CYFA seeks to enhance the international image of its members, highlight their role in the field of administrative and professional services, and create new opportunities for collaboration with business and institutional actors from India and other markets," the announcement added.
In a statement regarding the Association's participation in the conference in India, CYFA General Manager Christoforos Ioannou stated that, "these initiatives are part of our long-term goals and offer us the opportunity to have meetings with important players in the international economy and to promote both the services of our members and the Cypriot economy."
