The Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) and the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) organised an event “CELEBRATING WOMEN IN BUSINESS: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES”, that took place at the Poseidonia Hotel in Limassol.
The organisers of the event Margarita Alexandrou the Assistant General Secretary of the Cyprus International Businesses Association (CIBA) and Helen Lambrou the Market Development and Sales Manager in Limassol Campus of CIIM, called up the welcome speakers to open the event. Mr. Chris Koufaris General Secretary of CIBA and Dr. Theodore Panagiotou Director of CIIM, welcomed the audience with a few words and informed them how pleased they were to address, such distinguished guests.
The Introduction speaker Mrs. Anna Vourgos, Director, Aphentrica Marine Insurance Brokers Limited and Vice President of WISTA Cyprus, reminded us of how much woman have already achieved in a nostalgic way, whilst paying homage to all those women who worked hard and paved the way before us with her presentation entitled - ‘Women in business: the educated daughters of housewives and farmers”
